Who We Are
We endure miles for others. That's not a tagline — it's the reason we get up and do the hard thing.
The Hard Mile is a collective of ordinary people doing extraordinary things, for the communities around us. We take on physical challenges that push the limits of what's possible, raise money for local charities, and create a space where young men can talk, grow, and earn something real. No corporate sponsors, no professional athletes. Just real working people who show up.

On raw determination and sheer will, Mark took on a punishing 41-mile rowing challenge that pushed his body and mind to the absolute limit. Hours on the erg, one stroke at a time — proving that the hardest battles are often the ones fought in silence.

Ben and team took on an epic 500km journey from York to Brighton — partly by bike, partly on foot — crossing the length of England through every kind of weather and terrain. An extraordinary feat of endurance that laid the foundations for The Hard Mile. This wouldn't have been possible without Mat Cole supporting him throughout the cycle and the rest of the team joining him on the running section.
For the first time, the whole collective runs together. A relay spanning over 500 kilometres from Scotland to Thirsk — each member carrying the baton across their leg of this monumental journey. The biggest Hard Mile yet — and it's happening right now.
